How to view records you have already accessed in The Social History Archive

The Social History Archive allows you to return to records you have already viewed, supporting ongoing research.

If your access to The Social History Archive allows individual research activity to be saved, the My Research area provides a consolidated view of records and searches you have previously worked with. This feature is designed to support continuity in academic research, allowing you to return to material without repeating searches and to manage your research activity over time.

Accessing My Research

You can access My Research by selecting it from the main navigation menu once you are logged in. This opens a list of records you have already viewed, along with any associated notes, tags, or saved searches. The contents reflect your personal research activity rather than the full archive.

How My Research supports academic work

Using My Research, you can:

  • Quickly access recently viewed records without having to repeat a search
  • Add and edit research notes on records
  • Add tags to help keep your research organised
  • Delete irrelevant entries from your saved records
  • View your saved searches
